Who We Are

Kamryn Burton
Founder & Executive Director
Kamryn Burton is a sophomore Morehead-Cain Scholar at UNC-Chapel Hill, where she studies Biology on the pre-medical track. Kamryn is passionate about diminishing healthcare disparities through servant leadership, education, and advocacy. Outside the classroom, Kamryn is a champion for leadership equity. She founded Girls Lead 2, Inc. as part of her Girl Scout Gold Award in June 2022. Though the organization continues to grow and evolve, Kamryn's goals remain steadfast: to invest in youth development, engage communities, and mobilize the next generation of female changemakers.
Olivia Durham
Vice President of Marketing
Olivia Durham is a sophomore at Appalachian State University, where she double majors in Elementary Education and Theatre Education. Olivia has always had a passion for working with young people, and for two years, she worked as a swim instructor for kids ages 3-12. Olivia was a Girl Scout for 6 years and enjoys the opportunity to use her experiences & learnings to foster youth leadership potential. Additionally, Olivia is a strong advocate for the arts and hopes to continue educating children through the arts in the future.


Niav Lorenzo
Vice President of Curriculum
Niav Lorenzo is a freshman at Massachusetts College of Art and Design in the Studio for Interrelated Media program. From a young age, Niav has practiced her leadership skills within her community, starting with a community garden for her troop’s Girl Scout Bronze Award. As a professional artist, she currently focuses on equity and workplace readiness within the art community. For her Gold Award, Niav published free, online guidance on hosting art galleries similar to her own. In her free time during the summer, Niav enjoys teaching kids and adults how to ride and care for horses.
